Today, when environmental protection is one of the most pressing global issues, proper waste management becomes especially important. This is exactly the purpose of “Tegeta Green Planet” - a company within Tegeta Holding that actively works on the collection and recycling of specific types of waste.
The organization’s activities are based on the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). This means that manufacturers and importers are responsible not only for selling their products, but also for what happens to them after use. In other words, responsibility continues throughout the entire lifecycle of a product.
Since 2022, up to 350 companies have joined “Tegeta Green Planet,” including producers and importers of tires, oils, and batteries.
What would happen without such a system?
Imagine an environment where used tires accumulate in open spaces for years, waste oil seeps into soil and water, and toxic substances leaking from batteries contaminate the ecosystem.
Such waste:
- Pollutes the soil and reduces its fertility
- Threatens drinking water sources
- Damages air quality
- Causes serious health problems
Ignoring these issues directly leads to a more polluted environment and a less safe future.
The solution - responsibility and proper management
“Tegeta Green Planet” was created as a response to these challenges. The organization not only ensures the collection and proper management of waste, but also plays an important role in raising public awareness.
Its main goal is to help every individual and company better understand their role in environmental protection and make responsible choices.
Results that matter
The organization’s work is already producing tangible results. In 2025 alone, the following amounts were collected:
- 4,642 tons of tire waste
- 894 tons of waste oil
- 1,385 tons of battery waste
These are not just numbers - they represent real change: thousands of tons of waste that no longer end up in the environment or pose a threat to human health.
